The Weld County Board of Health met on May 26, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. (Via Skype)
Those present included:
Board Members: Nicholas Berryman, Tim Annable, James Kuemmerle, Linda Kautz, Joyce Smock,
Sandra Owens and Jeff Reck
Others: Luke from Veris Environmental, Katie Sall & Lauren Light Environmental Health Services.
Administration: Trevor Jiricek and Mark Lawley
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:03 AM. A motion was made by Jeff Reck to approve the agenda
as presented. Joyce Smock seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the February 25, 2020 meeting. A motion was made to approve
by Joyce Smock and Jeff Reck seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. The
board approved the minutes of the April 28, 2020 meeting. A motion was made by Linda Kautz to
approve and Tim Annable seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
BUSINESS
New Biosolid:
Permit: DS -2000001
Applicant: Veris Environmental LLC
Owner: Cooksey Jeffrey A Trust
Legal: NW '/4 Sec 12 TIN R62W
Location: Hwy 52 & WCR 83
This application was withdrawn because it was requested by Veris Environmental to move to the
spring of 2021. A motion was made by Joyce Smock to approve and Linda Kautz seconded the
motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
Biosolids Renewals
Veris Environmental, LLC- Katie Sall presented 17 biosolids renewal applications. No
public comments or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.
DS -200205, DS -200220, DS -200310, DS -201625, DS -201720, DS -200828, DS -201210, DS -201214,
DS -201316, DS -201106, DS -201401, DS -1700004, DS -1700005, DS -1700008, DS -1800008, DS -
1900006 and DS -1900007.

A motion was made by Sandra Owens to approve the renewals. Tim Annable seconded the motion
and the motion was carried unanimously.
Metro Wastewater Reclamation District- Katie Sall presented 6 biosolids renewal
applications. No public comments or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends
approval.
DS -200510, DS -200616, DS -200701, DS -200702, DS -200703 and DS -200808.
A motion was made by Linda Kautz to approve the renewals. Joyce Smock seconded the motion and
the motion was carried unanimously.
McDonald Farms- Katie Sall presented 11 domestic Septage renewal applications. No public
comments or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval.
SS -200404, SS -200405, SS -201201, SS -201202, SS -201203, SS -201401, SS -1500001, SS -1500004,
SS -190002, SS -1900033 and SS 1900004.
A motion was made by Tim Annable to approve the renewals. Linda Kautz seconded the motion and
the motion was carried unanimously.
Staff Discussion:
Trevor Jiricek gave an update to the board on what changes are happening at Environmental Health.
Mark Lawley spoke to the board to introduce himself and give a brief overview of what he will be
doing as the deputy director.
The BOCC will recognized Joyce Smock and Linda Kautz for their service on the Board of Health.
No presentations will be given until pandemic health emergency is over.
A motion by Joyce Smock to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by Tim Annable. Meeting was
adjourned at 9:35 am. Next meeting is Tuesday, June 23, 2020. This meeting will be on the second
floor room 210 and also VIA skype for those that don't want to come in.
