Home My WebLink About20202456.tiffRESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAME TO WESTERN EQUIPMENT AND TRUCK, INC., AND DELEGATE AUTHORITY TO CONTROLLER TO SIGN ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Code require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as a 2017 Kenworth T800 Tractor and Water Tanker, being more fully described in said proposal, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a high bid proposal from Western Equipment and Truck, Inc., 2055 1st Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80631, for purchase of said equipment, for the sum of $13,500.00, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus, approve said high bid proposal, and delegate authority to the Weld County Controller to sign any necessary documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment, be, and hereby is, declared surplus. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the high bid proposal for purchase of said equipment from Western Equipment and Truck, Inc., in the amount of $13,500.00, be, and hereby is, approved.
