Subject: Exhibition and 4H Building Cooking Hood Design
Weld County awarded on-call design services to four different vendors. There is a need for design
services for the replacement of the cooking hoods in the Exhibition building and the 4H building at Island
Grove. Robert Shreve Architects and Planners has used the labor rates identified in their bid and quoted
a lump sum of$10,800 for this design scope. Buildings and Grounds is recommending approval of this
task order.

Project Title: Exhibition&4-H Buildings-Design Services-Replacement of Cooking Hoods

Design Compensation: $10,800.00
Note: Pursuant to the "Original Agreement", document No. 2019-2250 section 2.2-Additional
Task Order Work.in addition to that work described in section 2.1,the Parties may agree
to additional work to be provided by Contractor pursuant to an appropriately executed
Task Order, which shall be negotiated between the Parties on an as needed basis. Any
such Task Order shall be signed by the Weld County Director of Buildings and Grounds
before it shall be effective.In no event shall the total of all Task Orders exceed$25,000 in
any calendar year unless first approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Any
appropriately executed Task Order shall be automatically incorporated herein and
enforceable.
Scope of Task Order:
1. The project will involve providing architectural plans and specifications for the removal
of existing hoods and duct work and the purchase and installation of new duct work&
hoods. Complete services for the project as described in the attached Exhibit-Task
Order 1-2020.
Contractor agrees to perform the services identified above and on the attached exhibit in
accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein and in the Original Agreement
between the parties.

Re: Design for Replacement of Cooking Hoods
Island Grove Park
Exhibition Building and 4H Building
Dear Toby,
Last week I toured the 4H Building and the Exhibition building in Island Grove park with
G2. As you might expect we found some unusual existing conditions in both buildings.
The scope of work will include preparing plans for removing the existing hoods and
accompanying duct work. We will prepare plans and specifications for in purchase and
installation of new hoods. The work in the Exhibition Building will a be a bit more
complex that at he 4H building in that to provide a continuous vertical duct in will be
necessary to reconfigure the service kitchen on the second floor.
The members of the team that participated in the preparation of construction documents
will be G2 for the hood design and specifications and RSAP for the project management
and architectural design. For the design services outlined previously we propose a
"Lump-Sum Fee" of$10,800.00.
