WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County
Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado, has been vested with
the responsibility for the zoning and orderly development
of Weld County; and
WHEREAS, it is apparent to the Board that there is
an urgent need for Weld County to participate in the House
Bill 1041 Program on the local, regional and state levels;
and
WHEREAS, the Board is of the opinion that it would
be in the best interest of the County to have a represen-
tative from Weld County to assist in fulfilling the require-
ments of said House Bill 1041; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Commission has
recommended that Mr. Gary Fortner, Interim Weld County
Planning Director, is a person knowledgeable in the field
of zoning and comprehensive planning, and that he be appointed
by the Board as Weld County' s representative in the adminis-
tration of any project or projects contemplated pursuant to
House Bill 1041; and
WHEREAS, the Board is satisfied that Mr. Gary Fortner
is a person with vast experience and ability in the field of
zoning and planning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mr. Gary Fortner
be, and he hereby is appointed as the Weld County representative
to do what is necessary in the fulfillment of the requirements
of House Bill 1041 and to participate in its implementation on
the county, regional and state levels; and that he serve at the
pleasure of the Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th
day of November, A.D. , 1974.

duced for passage by the Weld County Planning Commission :
