In order to implement the plan we will need to purchase five additional graders off the low bid previously approved by the Board this year. The vendor, Wagner Equipment, is agreeable to selling them at the original low bid price. The question is, does the Hoard want the purchase of the five graders to be approve by the Board in a Board meeting or just authorize Purchasing to go ahead and order them. What options exist for the Board? (include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options): 1. Options 1: Place the purchase of the five graders on the Board agenda under bids for formal Board approval. 2. Option 2: Just authorize Purchasing to go ahead and order the five graders. Approved on Jan 29,2020. Since this is a decision to move from leased graders to purchase the request is to increase the number on order with Wagner from 2 to 7. With in purchasing abilities if we are within a year of bidding and we are getting the same items and the vendor agrees to hold the price we do not have to rebid.
