RE: Noxious Weed Eradication in Northern Weld County, Weed Fund proposal
Dear Tina,
Thank you for submitting your grant proposal for the 2019 field season. This year we received over $1.2 million in
'funding requests for the annually appropriated $700,000 available. This made the review committee's decisions
very difficult due to the number of competitive projects worthy of funding.
We are pleased to inform you that the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has -selected your project,
"Noxious Weed Eradication in Northern Weld County" for full funding in 2019 for an amount up to $40,000.
There are several things to keep in mind when implementing your project:
• This notification letter does not constitute the start date of the grant. CDA will work with you to develop
a Statement of Work (SOW) with a summary budget that will be attached to your grant agreement.
• All state funds are available on a reimbursable basis only. The funding received must be matched on a
1:1 basis. Matching contributions may be incurred up to 90 days prior to your start date.
• Once you have received the approved Grant Agreement and attached Statement of Work, you can begin
incurring expenses that are reimbursable.
• If you are a non -governmental organization, you may be required to keep and maintain liability,
automobile and workers compensation insurance.
• You may be required to submit a W-9 to verify your tax ID number and current address.
I will contact you soon to discuss the terms and requirements of your SOW, and we will have a Grant Agreement
(PO for NGO's) issued as soon as possible after we finalize the SOW together. Please feel free to contact me if you
