RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT,
USR16-0040, FOR ONE (1) SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING UNIT PER LOT OTHER
THAN THOSE PERMITTED UNDER SECTION 23-3-20.A IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL)
ZONE DISTRICT- MARIE ALKIRE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 22nd day
of January, 2020, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of
hearing the application of Marie Alkire, 37607 Lee Lake Ave, Windsor, Colorado 80550, for a Site
Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit, USR16-0040, for one (1)
Single-Family Dwelling Unit per lot other than those permitted under Section 23-3-20.A in the
A (Agricultural) Zone District on the following described real estate, to-wit:
Lot 15 of the Northwest Estates 2nd Filing; being
part of the W1/2 of Section 29, Township 7 North,
Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, the Board heard all the testimony and statements of those present and
reviewed the request of the applicant and, having been fully informed, finds that the application
should not have been accepted because it was submitted after the effective date of Ordinance
2019-02, which changed the requirements for application and approval of the requested use; the
Board further finds that this request shall be referred back to the Department of Planning Services
to further address the issue concerning the previous withdrawal of the original application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, referred back to the
Department of Planning Services.
