SUBJECT: 2020 Traffic Paint and Beads Bid, B2000072
The Public Works Department recommends the low bid from Vogel Paint and Wax be accepted for the yellow
and white traffic paint. The price for yellow traffic paint is $8.33 per gallon; the price for white traffic paint is
$8.71 per gallon.
Vogel Paint and Wax is also the lowest bidder for the Yellow High Build Fast Dry Paint that was added to the
bid this year at a cost of $9.28 per gallon. The total cost for yellow and white traffic paint and yellow fast dry
paint is $256,550.00.
The lowest bid for glass beads was Brightlands Tech, Inc. and we recommend their bid be accepted for the
glass beads at a price of $0.3488 per pound. The total cost for glass beads is $52,320.00.
A total of $329,820 has been budgeted for traffic paint and glass beads for 2020.
