Dear Commissioners,
This letter is to help provide information to you about Basalite Building
Products, LLC currently under construction in the City of Fort Lupton. It is
our understanding that Weld County is willing to provide a 50% personal
property tax rebate to the company. We wanted to help ensure to you that
this was a project that is desired in the Fort Lupton area. It is one of many
great projects moving forward in our City and is approved by Council.
In order to help ensure an economic sustainability for construction, the City
has provided rebates in two forms currently. One is a rebate adjustment on
the Building permit for $460,000 on a $18,000,000 construction value.
Basalite also can receive a water rebate of an additional $294,030 if they
bring in the needed water shares before Certificate of Occupancy is
released. This is level of commitment that the Council has felt reasonable
to help continue a diverse growth in the community.
We hope that this helps to provide the support you needed to move the
Personal Property tax rebate along for your staff.
