RE: ACCEPT DONATION OF $33,000.00 FROM THE COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION
TO THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
TO BE DESIGNATED FOR COVID-19 RESPONSE ACTIVITIES OR DELIVERY OF
CORE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Health Foundation wishes to donate $33,000.00 to be
designated for Coronavirus (COVID-19) response activities or delivery of core public health
services, and
WHEREAS, the donation by the Colorado Health Foundation will benefit the Weld County
Department of Public Health and Environment as they tirelessly commit to serving on the front
lines of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency Health Pandemic, and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of Weld County to formally accept all donations via Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the donation of $33,000.00, for the benefit of the Weld County Department
of Public Health and Environment, be, and hereby is, accepted to be designated for Coronavirus
(COVID-19) response activities or delivery of core public health services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded
to the Colorado Health Foundation expressing the Board's appreciation for their generous
donation.

At the Foundation, we recognize the acute need for flexible funding to support
Colorado's local public health agencies, as you and your staff tirelessly commit to
serving on the front lines of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To this end, the
Foundation will be offering a donation in the amount of $33,000 to Weld County
Department of Public Health & Environment. This donation is designated for COVID-19
response activities or delivery of core public health services.
If you are receiving payment electronically and you do not wish to accept these funds,
you must notify your financial institution within 24 hours of deposit.
