RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONER SCOTT K. JAMES TO CERTAIN
ADVISORY BOARDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Commissioner James be appointed to
represent the Board of County Commissioners on the following boards:
• 911 Telephone Authority (3/1/20-12/31/20)
• Bright Futures
• Human Services Advisory Committee
• Island Grove Park Advisory Board — Regular Member
• Upstate Colorado Economic Development Board — Regular Member
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Commissioner James to said boards,
with his term on each board to expire December 31, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Commissioner Scott K. James, be, and hereby is, appointed to the above
listed boards, with his term on each board to expire December 31, 2020.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 6th day of January, A.D., 2019, nunc pro tunc January 1, 2020.
