There have been times we have not had a quorum and could not hold a hearing as all members are required to attend in person. The proposed change would allow a member to attend via phone or computer. The pandemic caused the hearing scheduled for March 24 to be canceled and the next hearing is scheduled for April 28. One of the Board of Public Health duties is to approve or deny biosolids and septage permits on a monthly basis. Bruce Barker has reviewed and suggested the language. What options exist for the Board? (include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options): 1. Approve the suggested change so that meetings may continue on a monthly basis and biosolids and septage permits will not be delayed. 2. Deny the suggested change which would may require hearings to be canceled and biosolids and septage permits to be rescheduled. Recommendation: Approve the suggested change to allow electronic communication for Board of Public Health hearings. Approve Recommendation Mike Freeman, Chair Scott K.
