Re: Request by Weld County for contingency
and/or emergency funds for the month
of November, 1971 .
Dear Con:
Please be advised that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, has this day determined by Resolution that there
are not sufficient funds available in the County Welfare Fund to make
the necessary welfare payments for the month of November, 1971 .
The Board has further determined that the sum of $83, 000.00 will
be needed to supplement the County for welfare purposes for the
month of November, 1971 .
Since the Board is not desirous of registering warrants, it therefore
respectfully requests that the State Board of Social Services supple-
ment Weld County expenditures for public assistance, county welfare
administration and child welfare services for the month of November,
1971 in the amount of $83,000.00, and as provided for in '63 CRS
119-3-12 ('69 Perm. Cum. Sup.) .
If sufficient monies are not available in the state contingency fund to
supplement Weld County welfare expenditures for the month of
November, 1971 , then we respectfully request that the State Board
of Social Services determine that an emergency exists in Weld County,
and pursuant to '63 CRS 119-9-13 further determine that the necessary
funds be made available to Weld County pursuant to said statute.
