RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2021 BUDGET HEARING - WELD COUNTY PIONEER
COMMUNITY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 14, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Mike Freeman, Chair
Commissioner Steve Moreno, Pro -Tern
Commissioner Scott K. James
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Commissioner Kevin D. Ross
Also present:
Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Director of Finance and Administration, Donald D. Warden
Budget Manager, Jennifer Oftelie
The following business was transacted:
IR I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 3, 2019, and duly published
November 6, 2020, in the Greeley Tribune, the Annual Meeting of the Weld County Pioneer
Community Law Enforcement District Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was
conducted to consider the proposed 2021 Budget for the Weld County Pioneer Community Law
Enforcement Authority District. Jennifer Oftelie, Budget Manager, recommended approval of the
budget, in the amount of $4,131.00. The amount is supported by 7.0 mills in property tax, the
district has been de-bruced so there are no Tabor limitations, and the amount is used for
extraordinary patrol services by the Sheriff's Office.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner James moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt the Budget, in the amount
of $4,131.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Moreno, and it carried unanimously.
IR Commissioner James moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Moreno, and it carried unanimously.
Commissioner Ross moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy at 7.0 mills. The
motion qwas seconded by Commissioner James, and it carried unanimously.
�� =1 Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize
the Chair to sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner James, and it carried unanimously.
There being no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:34 a.m.
