ST. VRAIN PEST CONTROL DISTRICT
ADDITION OF:
LEAFY SPURGE AS A NOXIOUS WEED
FOR EXTERMINATION
EXPIRES DECEMBER 31, 1976:
WHEREAS, the St. Vrain Pest Control District, was originally established
by resolution dated March 28, 1962 for a period ending December 31, 1966 and was
extended by resolution dated December 7, 1966 for an additional five-year period
ending December 31, 1971, and
WHEREAS, by ballot vote, as required by law, the landowners requested the
continuation of said Pest Control District for an additional five-year period; and
WHEREAS, the landowners of St. Vrain Pest Control District have requested
by ballot the establishment of the eradication of Leafy Spurge in addition to Canada
Thistle and Bindweed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County that the St. Vrain Pest Control District be and is hereby extended for
an additional five-year period ending December 31, 1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Leafy Spurge be added as a noxious weed to
be exterminated in said district.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,
adopted by the following vote.

Dear Sirs:
The ballots for voting on the extension of the St. Vrain
Pest Control district until December 31, 1976, totaled 167 in
favor and 18 opposed with 3 no votes.
The ballot for adding Leafy Spurge to the weeds to be con-
trolled in the St. Vrain Pest Control District was 151 in favor
and 25 opposed with 12 no votes.
The counting board finds the above ballot to be true and
accurate.

PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE TERMINATION DATE OF THE
ST. VRAIN PEST CONTROL DISTRICT
The St. Vrain Pest Control District was organized in 1961 and voted
a five year extension in 1966. This five year extension terminates in
1971. The five men appointed to the committee by the County Commissioners
in 1966 would like to request the extension of the termination date to
December 31, 1976, and the addition of Leafy Spurge.
