Dear Mr. Rappe:
SUBJECT: HELD COUNTY FLOOD DAMAGE REPAIR
This letter is written on behalf of the County to request reassessment by
OEP on a number of flood damaged areas. The need for re-evaluation on
these projects is due to increased construction costs and quantity over-
runs on the various contracts, which is a result of and verified by the
actual constructed facilities.
The attached summary delineates the percentage overruns of the individual
OEP items and totals on each of the construction contracts which includes
all of these items.
The County would also like to request at the time of the re-evaluation that
final inspections be made, and that the County at this time be allowed all
but 5 percent of the total dollar amount shown on the enclosed summary.
If there are any questions or a meeting is required to discuss the details
of the enclosures, please notify me.
Respectfully,
NELSON, LEY, PATTERSON and QUIRK, INC.
