As members of the Island Grove Park Development Committee
we urge the Weld County Commissioners to adopt the following
resolution:
WHEREAS, The City of Greeley and County of Weld both own and
control public facilities located in the area known as Island Grove
Park and,
WHEREAS, There is a;. urgent and continuing need for the
proper development of park and recreational facilities for all of
the citizens of Weld County and
WHEREAS, the proper development and operation of Island Grove
Park will require close cooperation between the City of Greeley and
the County of Weld;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Weld County establish with the
City of Greeley a Joint Board to research, develop and propose plans
for the future joint development, management and funding of the park
and recreational area known as Island Grove Park. This Joint Board

Gentlemen:
I would be happy to serve on the Island Grove Development
Board. Due to my interest in the Rodeo Committee, and having
been Ground Committee Chairman the past year, I feel I am
familiar with the present facilities and would be pleased to
work for the further development of this area.
I feel Island Grove Park is a big asset to Greeley, each
year drawing many people to enjoy the July 4th Rodeo, as well
as other events , and further development of this recreational
area would be advantageous to all .
