COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 2ndday of February
197?, by and between the County of Weld party of the
first part, and the STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS-
STATE OF COLORADO,' 'paity of the second part, WITNESSETH that
WHEREAS, The Division.has constructed, or proposes to construct,
or provide for the construction of, a project known as
Project S 0119(19) approximately 3.504 miles long beginning
at the Boulder/Weld County line east of Longmont and extending east to
a point about 0.5 mi. west of 125 on State 'Iiighway No. 119.

WHEREAS, ,The said State Highway: is part of the Federal Aid
Secondary System„

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Chapter 1 of Title 23,
U.S.C., the Parties have jointly agreed that this project having been
designed' and/or constructed to 'the 'appropriate' Design• Standard's and
Specifications, • as determined by,the Design Traffic Volume which was
developed in accordance with approved and established practices, and the
above having current approval of Federal Highway Administration do hereby
agree to furtherance of this project to completion in accordance with
established practices of the Division of Highways-State of Colorado.
In accordance with provisions as stated in 120-13-6 of Colorado
Revised Statutes the State Highway Commission intends to abandon all
portions of the existing highway which may result from any relocation
_ involved in connection with this project:. 'Commission action will be
taken as soon as is practical after the relocated highway is completed
and open to public. travel.
•
This Agreement shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit
of the Successors and assigns of the Parties thereto.
This Agreement is executed with reference to the signatories
on behalf of the County by virtue of a resolution passed at the meeting
of the Board of County Commissioners held on February 2, 1972
a certified copy of which is attached hereto.

This is to certify that at a regular meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, held on February 2
1972 ,, the following resolution was adopted:

"RESOLVED, That this Board hereby approves a certain Agreement with
the STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS, DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS-STATE OF ODLORADO,
dated , 1972 whereby the County has reviewed and approved
the Geometric Standards designated to govern ;the construction of a Federal
Aid Secondary Project to consist of improvements on State Highway No. 119 ,
beginning at the Boulder/Weld County line east of Longmont and extpnd-
ing east to ,a. point about 0.5 mi. west of I 25
as per terms of said Agreement on
behalf of Weld, County by signatures of the entire Board."
