MONTHLY REPORT
WELD COUNTY PEST INSPECTOR
Summary of Dutch Elm Disease Control Work in Weld County for
month of July, 1974:
American Elms Inspected or Tested 37
American Elms Condemned 9
American Elms Removed 6
I started work this month full time as Pest Inspector. My
sampling was limited because of lack of pruning equipment, which has
been ordered. I am also finding reluctance to remove diseased trees
because of lack of County funds to assist in the removal. The Colorado
State Forest Service have been very cooperative in helping to get the
program started.
