I have just received from Keensburg the information which follows and is the cause of this inquiry, to wit: "A few days ago the County Commissioners of this County met and condemned enough of the land on Section 13 of yours for a highway, and have sent a grading outfit belonging to the county down here and tore out the gates at the S.W. corner of your land on Section 13, and they have graded a highway along the south side of Section 13." While for many years I was a resident of Colorado I am not familiar with the laws governing such matters and am therefore seeking information. Will you please advise me under What process of law you have taken down my fence and taken possession of my property for highway purposes? Am I not entitled, to payment for my property taken and for such dar,.age as'I have suffered through my gate and fence being reVoved and my property being exposed to the stock of others.7,. Please understand I am not at this time disputing nor affirming your right to do these-things. I am only seeking information and if I am entitled to any payment by reason of these things, I want to get the matter adjusted in the usual and proper way. I will thank you for any information you see fit to give me on the subject. ` oz .:' ' ` Very truly yours, J0SIE F. QUIGLEY, • B E 9 i'V. 40kHer Husband ems. c—Irtzrt i June 11 1923 • Mr. J. H.
