APPRECIATION OF SERVICES RENDERED
LEONARD BARTELS
WELD COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION:
WHEREAS, Leonard Bartels was appointed to serve as a member of the
Weld County Planning Commission on, April 21, 1965, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bartels has served with distinction and by his wise
counsel and his pratical experience has contributed greatly to the Weld County
Planning Commission and to the taxpayers of Weld County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that the Board hereby express their appreciation to
Leonard Bartels as a member of the Weld County Planning Commission.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
duly seconded, adoptad by the following vote:

Gentlemen:
It has become necessary for me to resign from the Weld
_County Planning Commission and as a member of the Advisory Board
of the Larimer and Weld Regional Planning Commission.
_I regret raking this decision? but our business has increased
to such an extent that it is impossible for me to attend the
meetings with the regularity that I feel is necessary to be
a good Commission member.
I have very much enjoyed being a member of these Commissions.
_I feel every citizen should make an effort to serve on such •
a body to learn some of the problems of government. It has
been very educational for me. I just hope that I have been
able to add a little to planning in Northern Colorado.

PS . It took ma a long time to decide to do this and finally
I wrote the letter two weeks ago, and it ' s taken two
weeks for me to decide to mail it .
