RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Richard P. Martinez, Sheriff of Weld County, State
of Colorado, has accumulated many and sundry items of personal property
in the normal course of his duties during the past several years, per
attached Exhibit A consisting of 11 pages, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Motion and Court Order, copies of which
are attached hereto for ready reference, the Sheriff intends to dispose of
such personal property at public auction, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of
the County that the 9ieriff does sell said personal property in accordance
with the Court Order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that Mr. Barton Buss, Chief
Accounting Officer and Purchasing Agent for Weld County, advertise the
sale of said personal property pursuant to statutes governing Sheriff's
sales; and that any and all moneys received from such sale shall be
deposited in the County General Fund.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 5th day of September,
1973, nunc pro tunc as of August 1, 1973.

of Weld County to hold a Sale of all property included in the eleven (11) pages
of Attachment "A", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof:
1. THAT the property included in Attachment "A" has been accumulated
by the Sheriff's Office in the normal course of duties for the past several years.
2. THAT none of the property included on Attachment "A" is needed for
any criminal prosecution.
3. THAT after diligent search, the Sheriff's Office has been unable
to ascertain who the owners of the property are, or if the owners are known, to
locate their whereabouts.
