for the State Indemnity In -lieu" selections Environmental Assessment
The BLM has approved the decision to transfer 51 parcels (about 17,232 acres) of public land
containing federal surface/federal mineral estate to the State of Colorado. The decision does not
authorize transfer of the parcels containing only federal mineral estate. The Decision Record is
posted on the BLM ePlanning website at https://go.usa.gov/xp8yU.
The completed State Indemnity "In -lieu" Selections Environmental Assessment (EA) and approved
Finding of No Significant Impact FONSI) are posted on the BLM ePlanning website at
https://go.usa.gov/xp8yU.
The EA evaluates a proposed transfer of 51 parcels
(17,232 acres) of public land containing federal
surface/federal mineral estata, and an additional 13
parcels (6,147 acres) containing federal mineral
estate only, to the State of Colorado. The purpose of
the action in the EA was to determine which parcels, if
any, to transfer to the State of Colorado to satisfy the
debt owed for lands the State was entitled but did not
receive under its Statehood Act.
You have the right to appeal the
decision to the Interior Board of Land
Appeals within 30 days of the decision.
