HomeMy WebLinkAbout20211806.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE APPLICATION FOR 2022 VICTIM ASSISTANCE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT(VALE)GRANT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT VICTIM SERVICES UNIT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Application for the 2022 Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Grant for the Law Enforcement Victim Services Unit from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriffs Office, to the Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Board, commencing January 1, 2022, and ending December 31, 2022, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said application, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said application, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Between the municipa ities served , and the unincorporated areas of the county , the estimated population is 115 , 000 . he demographic estimates are 65 % white , 30 % Hispanic , and approximate y 2 % each of Black , America Indian , and Asian .
