Dear Mr. Epperson;
In response to your letter to Mr. Sam Telep, regarding the Empire
Intake. Our original proposal for that structure was refused, as to
my understanding. We then countered with a proposal using steel piling
and poured concrete panels to elevation at the site. I have the
:laterials on hand. I could possibly drive the piling right after the
first of the year. I have had a verbal acceptance from Mr. Pugh on the
proposed structure, but I would like a written approval.
In case you have not seen or heard of our proposal it consists of;
8 inch wide flange 3 P 36 driven on 8 foot centers across the channel
from wing wall to wing wall and poured concrete tc elevation, as set
by Mr. Pough and myself, with an adequate amount of rip rap, behind
the structure to avoid scour.
