they fencing
PROJECT MODULES
•
•
PV modules will be CanadianSolar 144 cell,
410 -Watt BiFacial Mono -crystalline modules
that will be mounted on a single axis tracker
system
• BiFacial modules collect light on both the
front and back of the modules while also
following the sun throughout the day
• The key benefit of BiFacial modules is
obtaining more power production without
expanding system footprints
The solar project will be designed and
constructed in accordance with all applicable
codes, standards and interconnecting utility
requirements
FARM/AGRICULTURAL & SOLAR USES
This parcel is non -irrigated dryland farm ground with no existing water rights.
• Once solar facility is installed, land will lie fallow for 30 to 35 year, allowing time for soils to
replenish nutrients and minerals. When the solar facility is removed, land can be returned
to farming.
• Leasing land for solar use provides another option for landowners to realize income from
their property; often the highest source of income generated by the land.
• Rental income from a solar facility provides the landowner with a long-term, steadily
increasing income on their land.

COMPLIANCE WITH THE WELD COUNTY CODE & COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Meets the Alternative Energy Policies of the Weld County Code and Comprehensive Plan:
• Section 22-4-50.A.3 (AIR.Policy 1.3) states: "The County encourages the use and
development of alternative fuels, alternative fueled vehicles and modes of transportation
that reduce pollutants."
This facility produces alternative fuel from solar energy, a renewable resource
which is encouraged by the Comprehensive Plan.
• Section 22-4-50.A.4 (AIR.Folicy 1.4) states: "The County encourages innovative and
creative approaches to alternative energy sources."
A solar facility develops alternative fuel through a process that will not create any
air emissions, nor cause dust or odors and develops alternative fuel, which
strengthens the grid strategically in the places where it is needed most.
• Section 22-5-130 states: "Due to the volatility of traditional energy resources, the County
supports and encourages development and use of alternative energy resources."
Solar energy is an alternative energy source, adding stability to and enhancing the
existing electrical grid.
