Gentlemen:
We have reviewed the audit report of the Weld County General
Hospital for the year ended December 31, 1971, as prepared
by Joseph Brough and Company, Certified Public Accountants .
We appreciate the cooperation of the Boards and the operating
personnel of the Hospital, and of the County, in furnishing
us with copies of the audit reports on a timely basis.
In reviewing this report we note that it contains no sched-
ules comparing actual figures with budgeted figures . As you
know, the Local Government Audit Law requires that audit
reports contain comparison schedules for all funds and acti-
vities for which budgets have been prepared. The absence of
such schedules in this report can indicate the possibility
that the Hospital (or the County) did not adopt a budget and
appropriations for the year, as is required by the Local
Government Budget Law.
We, therefore, would appreciate your comments on this matter.
