Item B of Bid Package No. 1 included drilled pier excavation work, furnishing and placing of concrete, and placing of reinforcing drilled piers only. We have completed our analysis of the proposals received for drilled pier excavation, furnishing and placing of concrete, and placing of reinforcing drilled piers. The results of these pro- posals are as follows: 1. Al Amidon Drilling, Inc. - $69,921.00 2. Drilled Foundations Inc. - $71,880.00 3. Caissons Inc. - $89,989.00 4. Meredith Drilling Co. - $98,922.00 5. P & C Drilling - $146,972.00 You will note that the low proposal was submitted by Al Amidon Drilling, Inc. We have examined all proposals and find them in order. Therefore, we are recom— mending the low proposal as submitted by Al Amidon Drilling, Inc. be accepted. Upon approval by the Board of Weld County Commissioners, we will issue a letter of intent to Al Amidon Drilling, Inc. We have sixty (60) days from the receipt of the proposal to issue a notice to proceed and a formal contract for the work. Our recommendation is to proceed immediately to issue a letter of intent to Al Amidon Drilling, Inc.
