RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF CHRIS D'OVIDIO AS CONTROLLER FOR WELD
COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Barbara Connolly, Weld County Controller, is retiring with her last workday
being November 15, 2021, and
WHEREAS, the Controller position is under the supervision of the Director of Finance and
Administration, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration is recommending that
Chris D'Ovidio be appointed as the Weld County Controller replacing Barbara Connolly, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Chris D'Ovidio be, and hereby is, appointed as the Controller for Weld
County, effective November 16, 2021.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of November, A.D., 2021.
