EATON REDS DAY
WESNESDAY, JULY 21, 2021
WHEREAS, the Eaton Reds baseball team played The Classical Academy Titans in the Class 3A
state championship Saturday, June 26, at Frederick High School; and
WHEREAS, thirteen strikeouts from Eaton senior Logan Moser kept the Titan's offense at bay,
while the Reds' offense was propelled by junior Dirk Duncan, sophomore Walker Martin, Moser
and senior Ryan Ure, who each recorded RBIs; and
WHEREAS, the complete team effort turned a great season into a historic one. The Reds
defeated the Titans 4-1 to win the Class 3A state championship and finish the season with a 21
and 1 record; and
WHEREAS, the uniqueness of the championship victory goes beyond this season and speaks to
the continued standard of excellence established by the baseball program. Through consistent
teamwork, dedication and hard work, the Reds have now won 12 state championships in baseball
— the most of any high school baseball team in Colorado, according to CHASSANow.com.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of Weld County Commissioners that
the 21st day of July 2021, be known as Eaton Reds Day. The board congratulates Eaton players,
coaches and parents on a special and historic season.
