Employment Services of Weld County, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and
the Colorado Workforce Development Council, educators, businesses, and economic developers
in workforce development efforts; and
WHEREAS, many left the job market due to economic and family circumstances, workforce
development professionals provide job seekers with resources, services, employment, and
training opportunities to reenter the workforce; and
WHEREAS, workforce professionals, educators, and businesses collaborate to ensure access to
quality education and training for in -demand occupations adequately preparing the future of
workforce; and
WHEREAS, workforce professionals and economic development entities collaborate regionally to
recruit, expand and retain business to ensure a robust and sustainable workforce; and
WHEREAS, the expertise, leadership, and innovation of Weld County workforce development
professionals strengthen the economy for business and the economic advancement of labor force
participants.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners, join the Governor of Colorado and the
National Association of Workforce Development Professionals, to hereby proclaim September as
Workforce Development Month.
