Lupton Request for Continuance of Agenda Item Dear Bruce: Thank you for notifying the City of Fort Lupton of the agenda item involving the Town of Firestone's request for consideration of a Petition for Annexation. As the City was just notified of this proposed Petition recently, the City of Fort Lupton would respectfully request that this item be continued by the Board to a later date to allow the City of Fort Lupton adequate time to meet with Firestone staff and attorneys or in the alternative, to be adequately represented at the hearing by legal counsel and staff. It is our position that no party would be prejudiced by a sixty-day continuance in order to allow both municipalities to meet in good faith and discuss possible ways to amicably resolve this matter. Thank you in advance for the Board's consideration of this continuance request. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
