Gentlemen: on at least two occasions I have had a talk with Mr. Hodson, one of your honored members, in reference to laying out the roads lying on the south, west-and north-of-Sec-i-25-,- Tp-c2-N;-Range--64-West; also-on the-north- and -south- of Sec. 29, Tp. 2, N. R. 63 W, and on the south of Sec. 21 - 2 - 63, and on the north of section 31 - '2 - 63. These roads take up approximately 28 acres of my land. I have already donated my share of the land to a road on the south of -Sec. 5, Tp. 1. N. R. 63 W. This is to confirm my conversation with tr. Hodson that I demand suitab]a compensation for the land so proposed to be taken, and I would like to be advised of a time when your board will meet to determine the value thereof, at which I could be present. _ If the board and I cannot agree upon a fair and equitable valuation for the land, I am willing to let the board name one appraiser and me another and _— _those _two_a third,_.and whatever._they. say_the reasonable value of_the_ ]and is, I _ am willing to take. However, as an old and somewhat extensive property owner, in area anyway, of your county,. I feel confident that I will be accorded just treatment at your hands, and believe that we will be able to agree upon a fair . valuation without recourse to arbitration. I was somewhat surprised that no notice had been given to me as I am personally known to you all and could have been informed of your proposed action by letter.
