Grant funds will be distributed to all subrecipients with the funding philosophy to support as many projects across the entire region and across many disciplines. The fiscal agent is the City of Greeley and the grant period covers three years 2021-2023.The program seeks to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from threats and hazards that pose greatest risk within the United States. The application will request funding for the purchase of a Small Unmanned aircraft (sUAS) system for the Weld County Regional SWAT Team in the amount of $29,995. The system will be utilized within the SWAT team. It allows the team to safely solve critical incidents while observing a suspect and give commands without forcing an unnecessary confrontation while operating within Colorado's new SB217 use of force guidelines. What options exist for the Board?
