Subject: Cooling Tower Replacement — Centennial Center; B2100115
As advertised this bid is for replacing the cooling tower at Centennial Center through a proactive
maintenance approach. The low bid (and only bid) is from Colorado Mechanical Systems.
However, the bid amount far exceeds what is reasonable for this project. Therefore, Facilities is
recommending rejecting this bid and not making an award. Facilities will evaluate placement in a future
budget year when construction cost return to more realistic levels.
