RE: APPROVE AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (AIP) AGREEMENT FOR
TRANSFER OF ENTITLEMENTS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
ELECTRONICALLY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Airport Improvement Program (AIP)
Agreement for the Transfer of Entitlements between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by
and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Greeley -Weld
County Airport Authority, and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA), with further terms and conditions being as stated in said agreement, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Agreement for the Transfer
of Entitlements between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Greeley -Weld Airport Authority, and the
U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said agreement electronically.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 8th day of February, A.D., 2021.

Dear Mr. Moreno, Mayor Gates, and Mr. Payton,
We are enclosing an electronic copy of the Airport Improvement Program (A1P) "Agreement For
Transfer of Entitlements". This agreement will transfer 8150,000 of fiscal years (FY) 2020 and 2021
of Federal funds from Greeley -Weld County Airport to Monte Vista Municipal Airport. Please
complete this agreement by having the authorized officials execute the appropriate sections.
Certification by the attorney should be completed following the acceptance and dated on or
after the acceptance date.
Your normal procedures for accepting documents such as this in accordance with local and state law
should be followed, but evidence of such procedure is not required by the Federal Aviation
Administration.
After execution and certification of the "Agreement For Transfer of Entitlements," please e-mail a
copy of the agreement to your FAA Project Manager, Mike Matz, at michael.b.matz@faa.gov.
