RE: APPROVE QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR CERTAIN MINERALS AND MINERAL RIGHTS
NEAR STATE HIGHWAY 14 AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quit Claim Deed for Certain Minerals
and Mineral Rights Located near State Highway 14, being part of Sections 20 and 22,
Township 8 North, Range 60 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, from the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, to
the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said deed, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said deed, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Quit Claim Deed for Certain Minerals and Mineral Rights Located
near State Highway 14, being part of Sections 20 and 22, Township 8 North, Range 60 West of
the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, to the U.S. Department of the Interior,
Bureau of Land Management, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said deed.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 7th day of June, A.D., 2021.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS DEED is made this 7th day of June, 2021, from the County of Weld, a political subdivision
of the State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Weld, whose address is 1150 0 Street, P.O. Box 758, City of Greeley, Colorado 80632, of the first
part, and to the United States of America, c/o U.S. Department of the Interior: Bureau of Land
Management, a U.S. federal agency, with address of 2850 Youngfield Street, Lakewood, CO
80215, of the second part.
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, hereby sell(s) and quitclaim(s) to said
party of the second part, the minerals and mineral rights of any kind or character, including,
without limitation, oil, gas, coal bed methane gas and any other liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons,
underlying the public highway located on the following real property in the county of Weld and
State of Colorado, to wit:
Township 8 North, Range 60 West, 6th P.M.
Section 20: That part of the SE/4, as described at Reception No. 721497 as Parcel 9,
being a strip of land 20 feet wide adjacent and North of the present highway
right-of-way, extending Westward approximately 2640 feet from the East
boundary line of Section 20, to the North and South center line of said
Section
Section 22: That part of the SW/4, as described at Reception No. 721497 as Parcel 6,
being a strip of land 20 feet wide adjacent and North of the present highway
right-of-way, extending Westward approximately 2640 feet from the North
and South centerline of Section 22 to the West boundary line of said Section
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same, together with all privileges thereunto belonging or
in anywise thereunto appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest and claim whatsoever, of
the said party of the first part, either in law or equity, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of
the said party of the second part, its heirs and assigns forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said party of the first part has hereunto set its hand and
seal the day and year first above written.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, Steve Moreno, Chair of the Board of County
Commissioners of said County of Weld, State of Colorado, on behalf of said County and by virtue
of the Order contained in the Resolution made by said Board of County Commissioners on the 7th
day of June, 2021, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said County this 7th day of
June, 2021, for the uses and purposes therein set forth.
