I did apply for the Fair a couple months ago as I attended various meetings regarding it to see if our fair was eligible. The application was on a Google document, they asked for proof on insurance, a W9, basic contact information. I have included the Application information form here. It was a very easy process. They expressed in multiple meetings that this money does not need to be used for anything specific at our fair, but that it use only for Fair. What options exist for the Board? (include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options): Weld County Fair was approved for this grant of $36,109 as of 10/20/2021. I was notified via email and sent an SOW to accept the grant that needs to be signed within 14 days from receiving it on 10/20/21 Recommendation: Weld County Fair recommends that we approve this Ag Stimulus Grant from the Colorado department of Agriculture for us to move forward in the process of receiving the money. Project Description / Objectives: This project is undertaken in an attempt to provide financial relief and support to County Fairs and other Agricultural Events whose event activities were impacted in the calendar year 2020. The project will occur throughout the State by giving grants to County Fairs and other Agricultural Events that were adversely financially affected in Colorado due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this financial assistance from the legislature, as part of a larger stimulus package, the intent of this grant is to reach communities and stimulate rural economies throughout Colorado. The focus on Agriculture Events and County Fairs will strengthen and advance Colorado agriculture by supporting and building the next generation of Agriculturalists and building agricultural resilience. II. Definitions: CDA, Department, or State Colorado Department of Agriculture Contractor The entity receiving the grant funds Quarter A 3 -month period of time: Q1: January — March Q2: April —June Q3: July — September Q4: October - December III. Performance Activities: 1. The Contractor shall utilize awarded funds to support the specific event identified in the Contractor's grant application. Support includes, but is not limited to: backfilling financial losses that resulted from the COVID-19 Pandemic, purchase of goods and/or services, or infrastructure support. 2. The Contractor shall meet the performance standards, requirements, and deliverables identified below. IV. Performance Standards, Requirements and Deliverables: 1.
