Home My WebLink About20210371.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CHANGE LETTER AMENDMENT #1 TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR DISASTER RECOVERY NATIONAL DISLOCATED WORKER GRANT (CORESPONDS) AND NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT RECOVERY DISLOCATED WORKER GRANT (RECOVERCO) AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - JEFFERSON COUNTY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Change Letter Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding for the National Dislocated Worker Grant (COResponds) and the National Employment Recovery Dislocated Worker Grant (RecoverCO) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Jefferson County, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said memorandum of understanding, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change letter amendment, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Change Letter Amendment #1 to the Memorandum of Understanding for the National Dislocated Worker Grant (COResponds) and the National Employment Recovery Dislocated Worker Grant (RecoverCO) between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and Jefferson County, be, and hereby is, approved. Request Board Approval of Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) Change Letter with Jefferson County, Colorado for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) Recovery Grant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jefferson County to establish an agreement between the parties concerning respective roles and responsibilities for implementation of the Recovery Grant awarded by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE). This MOU was entered into November 25, 2020, identified as Tyler ID 2020-3484. Due to additional RecoverCO funding received by Jefferson County, a Change Letter has been issued to allow a subaward of these funds to Weld County. Weld County is receiving $48,818.66 in additional funding, bringing the total RecoverCO subaward amount to $337,070.39. All other terms and provisions of the MOU remain the same. This Change Letter was reviewed and approved by Legal (G. Kalousek). I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of this Change Letter and authorize the Chair to sign. Approve Perry L.
