The Weld County Board of Health met on March 23, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing
room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft
Teams.
Those present included:
Board Members: Nicholas Berryman, Bree Lukens, Sandra Owens, Fred Hepner, Tim Annable,
James Kuemmerle, Katerie Lauck and Jeff Reck.
Others: Mark Lawley, Executive Director, Holly Smith Public Health Administration Manager, and
Lauren Light Environmental Health
Presenter: Bob Choate — Assistant County Attorney and Cindy Kronauge Public Health Specialist
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The meeting was called to order at 9:05 AM. A motion was made by Tim Annable to approve the
agenda as presented. Jeff Reck seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The board approved the minutes of the February 23, 2021 meeting. A motion was made to approve
by Tim Annable and Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: Holly Smith - Strategic Plan Update

environmental quality through the delivery of relevant, innovative, and cost-effective services.

Applicant: Denali Water Solutions
Owner: King Family Holdings LLC
Legal Description: W2 of section 34, township 1, range 61
Location: WCR 91 & WCR 4
Public concern by Diane Gettman Sauter at 50005 E 120th Ave, Bennett Co. Diane requested that
there be a 20 feet buffer between Denali land and hers. Luke Bond from Denali Water Solutions
(Veris Environmental) agreed to the 20 feet buffer.
Environmental Health recommends approval. A motion was made by Fred Hepner to approve the
new biosolid. Tim Annable second the motion and the motion was carried unanimously.
Biosolids Renewals
Denali Water Solutions, (Veris Environmental)- Lauren Light presented 8 biosolids
renewal applications. No public comments or concerns were received. Environmental Health
recommends approval.

A motion was made by Jeff Reck to approve the renewals. Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the
motion was carried unanimously.

5. Bob will look into what Board of Health have for rules and if we can make changes
6. Conflict of Interest/Appearance of conflict (when you need to leave your seat)
Cindy Kronauge — Health Specialist — COVID 19 vaccination update
Here in Weld County we are at phase 1B4. On March 19`" we were doing age 50 and over and 16-49
years of age if you have 1 or more health conditions.
Here in Weld County 25% of the adult population (250,000) have been vaccinated. People can go to
their local pharmacies and health care centers.
We currently are doing POD vaccine events with Sunrise, UC Health & Banner. We now have over
8,000 people who have signed up.
