Many hours of deliberations and thought must have occurred between the commissioners and the planning staff to come up with a plan as admirable as this one. We azree with your statement that you wish to avoid an urban sprawl, like Los Angeles, 1n Wald County by maintaining our growth around the 27 incorporated towns in the county. We are disturbed with your next statement that you might allow small subdivisions to be placed in "non-productive" agricultural land. This would mean to us, we will receive that urban sprawl you expressed you didn't want. How can the county stop a small development from becoming larger, once the services are there? Is it fair to allow development of small enclaves that will take far more in tax funds for services than do established communities or their fringes? in making your final decision, please overlook the wants of a few for the good of thousands in the future. We feel very strongly about this point and hope you do not allow this section to be part of an otherwise grand comprehensive plan. Sincerely, , Connie Dedon, President Greeley League of Women Voters Copies: Mr. Roy Moser Mr. Henry Ashley Town and Country News /130190730 671 Hello
