C . Haywood On Or Before Dear Glen : Last Monday , December 11 , 1972 , the District Attorney ' s office filed a motion for the _dismissal on the charges of arson against William C . Haywood , Weld County Building Inspector . Monday afternoon , Mr. Haywood requested to return to work the following Monday , December 18 , 1972 . Having received a certified copy of the order by Judge Arnold and noting that Mr . Haywood did perform his job in a satisfattory manner , I do hereby request that the Board of County Commissioners end Mr . Haywood ' s suspension and reinstate him at the earliest possible date . Mr. Haywood has indicated that his expenses through this period for defense against the charge has amounted to $4 ,200 . 00 of his own funds . Although the County may not be responsible in any fashion for this expenditure , I do feel it is appropriate if Mr . Haywood is reinstated to allow him his normal pay from the date of suspension to the date of reinstatement . Since it is the Christmas season , and his tills do come due heavily at the first of the year , I would appreciate a speedy disposition of the matter. Sincerely , Burman Loren on Planning Director BL/lj cc : County Attorney Haywood 720431 -- 1 -- -1111 111V -- -- III II 1 {:• :--,mil O.
