Thank you and all the Commissioners and staff for making the time this morning to discuss our
waste water project with us. We sincerely enjoy working with the County, and your advice on
the availability of various grant programs and funds was welcome. Even more welcome is the
willingness to explore right-of-way access with us. No matter which route the project engineers
eventually recommend, we will likely need County participation or assistance to use County
easements in some areas.
Though they are fiercely independent, we're so closely related to our rural neighbors in
Wattenberg that any possibility of helping them is always going to be something we consider as
we move forward. (After the 2013 flood, we trucked fresh water in for them.) We will begin
making some casual inquiries to gauge their level of interest. If merited, or if I don't get run out
of town, I'll reach out to you again and perhaps accept the kind offers from Commissioner Seine
and Commissioner Buck to meet with the citizens.
Again, thank you for being available to us. Weld County sets the bar high as a great example of
County governance.
