Both hearings will be held in the Hearing Room, Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado. Please note the hearing dates and times listed on the other side of this card for the proposed project. The Agenda will be posted one week prior to the hearing. If you would like more information regarding this proposal and the conditions that must be met, the file is public information and is available for review at our office. The property that is being permitted is: • The entire parcel of section 36 township 11 North Range 67 West, near Carr CO in Weld County. Our records search indicated that the State Land Board is the mineral rights owner of this parcel by the Colorado Enabling Act: 3/3/1875. See the attached Certificates of Conveyances. The intent of this application is for Weld County to review and approve our intention to mine the property for sand and gravel. Our plan includes removal and stockpiling the overlying topsoil (0-2' below ground surface), then removal of a sand and gravel layer that exists from 2-12' below ground surface. This material will be sorted and crushed on site. Upon completion of this work the area will be reclaimed by placement of the stockpiled material and re -seeding. This work will be done in several cells and no more than one cell will be actively mined at one time. Several cells could be in varying degrees of reclamation during any point of the process. We do not intend nor would we be permitted to mine the creek area. In an effort to protect the creek area we intend on staying 200' in each direction from the midline of the creek. The dates for the hearings are as follows: • Planning Commission —Tuesday., Aril 6, 2021 at 12:30 pm. In this meeting the county staff will present our case, including how we are complying with county code to the planning commission. The planning commission will hear the case, take public comment and vote on whether to approve the permit. If approved then the permit will be forward to the Board of County Commissioners. • Board of County Commissioners — Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10 am. In this meeting the county staff will present our case, including how we are complying with county code to the Board of County Commissioners. The BOCC will hear the case, take public comment and vote on whether to approve the permit. If approved we would be the USR would be subject to the stipulations required by the county staff, ARMS, Planning Commission and the BOCC.
