A public hearing was conducted on February 3, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Steve Moreno, Chair

Also present:

The following business was transacted:
▪ I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 21, 2020, and duly published
December 23, 2020, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted to consider the
request of Douglas and Deborah Duggan, c/o Amerigas Propane, LP, for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit, USR20-0023, for Uses similar to the Uses
listed, as permitted outside of subdivisions and historic townsites, as long as the Use complies
with the general intent of the A (Agricultural) Zone District (propane storage facility for use by
residential, commercial and agricultural uses) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Bob Choate,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record.
▪ Chris Gathman, Department of Planning Services, explained the applicant submitted a letter,
dated January 19, 2021, requesting to withdraw their application (Exhibit A), which was accepted
at the Planning Commission hearing on January 19, 2021 (Exhibit B).
IE No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
• Commissioner James moved to accept the request of Douglas and Deborah Duggan,
c/o Amerigas Propane, LP, to withdraw the application for a Site Specific Development Plan and
Use by Special Review Permit, USR20-0023, for Uses similar to the Uses listed, as permitted
outside of subdivisions and historic townsites, as long as the Use complies with the general intent
of the A (Agricultural) Zone District (propane storage facility for use by residential, commercial
and agricultural uses) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. The motion was seconded by

Commissioner Saine, and it carried unanimously. There being no further discussion, the hearing
was completed at 10:02 a.m.

A regular meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission was held in the Weld County Administration
Building, Hearing Room, 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado. This meeting was called to order by Chair,
Elijah Hatch, at 12:30 pm.
Roll Call.
Present: Butch White, Dwaine Barclay, Elijah Hatch, Gene Stille, Lonnie Ford, Sam Gluck, Skip Holland,
Tom Cope, Troy Mellon.

Amerigas has decided to not proceed with this application and remove the tank by March 10, 2021.
Motion: Accept Withdrawal request for USR20-0023, Moved by Tom Cope, Seconded by Sam Gluck.
Motion carried unanimously.
