IECMHC is a multi -level preventive intervention that partners mental health therapists
with individuals who work with young children and their families to improve their social,

providers and families to understand the powerful influence of their relationships and
interactions on young children's development. IECMHC includes skilled observations,
individualized strategies, and early identification of children with and at risk for mental
health challenges.
One important goal of the OEC is to reduce the rates of expulsion in the early care and
education settings (child care settings) with a goal of eliminating early childhood
