This year we received over $1.1 million in funding requests, however only $773,000 was available from Weed Fund and State and Private Forestry sources. This made the review committee's decisions very difficult due to the number of competitive projects worthy of funding. We are pleased to inform you that the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has selected your project for partial funding in 2021 for an amount up to $28,000. The highly competitive nature of project funding led the review committee to look very carefully at all aspects of each proposal. Reviewers felt that you did a good job of addressing the components of the application with good maps and descriptions of the projects and excellent landowner interaction. Overall, this is a solid set of projects and we would have preferred to fund it at a higher amount. Unfortunately, statewide, we ended up partially funding many deserving projects this year due to the extremely high demand for project funding. For this year's funding, there are several things to keep in mind when implementing your project: • This notification letter does not constitute the start date of the grant. CDA will work with you to develop a Statement of Work (SOW) with a summary budget that will be incorporated into your grant agreement. • All grant funds are available on a reimbursable basis only. The funding received must be matched on a 1:1 basis, and for any SPF funds, a 1:1 non-federal match is required. Matching contributions may be incurred up to 90 days prior to your start date. • Once you have received the approved Grant Agreement and attached Statement of Work, you can begin incurring expenses that are reimbursable. • If the grantee is a non -governmental organization, you may be required to keep and maintain liability, automobile and workers compensation insurance. • If the grantee is a local governing body and has stated in the application that it wilt be in compliance with the Noxious Weed Act by the end date of this grant period, this will appear in the statement of work as a requirement for reimbursement of grant -related expenses. • You may be required to submit a W-9 to verify your tax ID number and current address. 305 Interlocken Pkwy, Broomfield, CO 80021 P 303.869.9000 F 303.466.2867 www.colorado.gov/ag join noni G0.tionS o3/ot ie3t cc: PLOCT(3/CH), ACT( (3C.ico) oaiosial 2021-0548 E.GOO 1 S' I will contact you soon to discuss the terms and requirements of your SOW, and we will have a Grant Agreement issued as soon as possible after we finalize the SOW together.
