HomeMy WebLinkAbout740371.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZING WELD COUNTY TREASURER TO ACCEPT SURETY BOND AND FURTHER. AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TREASURER TO ISSUE A DUPLICATE TAX SALE CERTIFICATE. WHEREAS, Weld County Treasurer, Frances M. Loustalet, has requested authority to accept a surety bond indemnifying him against loss by reason of so doing, and to issue a duplicate tax sale certificate No. 128/1962 issued by the Weld County Treasurer to E. C. Pickett a/k/a Esther C. Pickett in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-One and 59/100 Dollars ($161. 59), dated in 1962, and which certificate has been lost, misplaced stolen or destroyed, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Treasurer has presented such a Lost Instrument Bond for the Board's approval and acceptance, and WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of the County to authorize the County Treasurer to issue a new certificate under proper circumstances of indemnification of both the Weld County Treasurer and Weld County, Colorado, and as contained in the aforementioned bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer, Frances M. Loustalet, be and he hereby is authorized to issue a duplicate tax sale certificate No. 128/1962 to E. C. Pickett,a/k/a Esther C. Pickett in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-One and 59/100 Dollars ($161. 59), sub- ject to receiving a penal bond in the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-Three and 18/100 Dollars ($323. 18) hereinabove referred to, being a proper bond and in the proper amount as complete indemnification of the Weld County Treasurer and Weld County, Colorado. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and 740 371 seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27 day of November, A.D., 1974.
