Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment Second Floor Hearing Room 210 & via Microsoft Teams The Weld County Board of Health met on August 24, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the second -floor hearing room of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment and by via Microsoft Teams. Those present included: Board Members: Nicholas Berryman, Bree Lukens, Fred Hepner, James Kuemmerle, Sandra Owens, Tim Annable, Jeff Reck and Anthony Gallardo. Others: Holly Smith Public Health Administration, Mike Schwan Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Dan Joseph Environmental Health Director, Lauren Light Environmental Health and Katie Sall Environmental Health. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The meeting was called to order at 9:03 AM. A motion was made by Tim Annable to approve the agenda. Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The board approved the minutes of the July 27, 2021 meeting. A motion was made to approve by Jeff Reck and Fred Hepner seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT: Holly Smith Public Health Administration Holly mentioned that the updated Project List was emailed to Board members on August 23, 2021 and the Employee Engage Survey will go next week. Biosolids Renewal: Denali Water Solutions — Katie Sall presented 13 biosolid renewal applications. No public comment or concerns were received. Environmental Health recommends approval. Bree Lukens seconded the motion and the motion was carried unanimously. Go►1Mun; coy+,onS O9/offal 2021-2622 PRESENTATIONS - Mike Schwan — Registered Dietitian Nutritionist — Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Promoting breastfeeding support in worksite and childcare settings. From ages 6-12 months, it is recommended to have exclusive breastfeeding in addition to complementary foods. Employers are required to support and provide resources for breastfeeding moms. Dan Joseph — EH Director Consumer Protection Update Dan explained the change on enforcement inspections for Weld County facilities in order to match with rest of counties in Colorado with exception of the city of Denver. Food inspectors are conducting full inspections rather than violation items only and adding points to be graded from ABCD to Good, Fair and Acceptable. Most of the places in Weld County are required two (2) inspections a year. Inspector will temporary close a facility if the inspection adds to 110+ points.
