RE: APPROVE RADIO PACKAGE CONTRACT FOR PROMOTION OF 2021 WELD
COUNTY FAIR AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - KFKA 1310
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Radio Package Contract for Promotion
of the 2021 Weld County Fair between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the CSU Extension Service of Weld
County, and KFKA 1310, commencing July 1, 2021, and ending July 31, 2021, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said radio package contract, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said radio package
contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Radio Package Contract for Promotion of the 2021 Weld County
Fair between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the CSU Extension Service of Weld County, and
KFKA 1310, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said radio package contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of June, A.D., 2021.

Brief description of the problem/issue:
KFKA will advertise for the Weld County Fair from July 1, 2021 — July 31, 2021.
What options exist for the Board? (include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options):
Cost of advertising is $1,280, this has already been allocated in the budget.
Recommendation:
Weld County Fair recommends we use KFKA as a platform to advertise for the 2021 Fair. Agreement
has already been reviewed by legal and was OK with it.
